this is my interview page. It is very bubbly and exciting to read, the interview are based around music which still links to the idea of a music magazine. Also i used a variety of colours for the outline of the ovals as it looks exciting and interesting to read. Also the colours should grab peoples attention. The pictures are also very nice and eye catching, along with the others they have been edited in photoshop to make them look better and clearer. There is also a colour theme in the writing which is blue and purple this makes it look well structured and also the colours are the same colour as the clothes the artist is wearing.

this is my contents page, i used a regular colour theme again. The wording is clear to read it is also nicely spread out and also the pcture is positioned well and very eye catching. the word 'contents' is bold and straight away it is obvious what page you are looking at. Also the page numbers are easy to read unlike in some magazines it is hard to determine what things are on what pages.

this is my front cover for my music magazine, it shows that i still had stuck to my drawn up draft copy it did help a lot, also it has the same colour scheme to my colour palet. i used loads of conventions in other musci magazine such as a barcode, issue number, date also price. The picture is clear and easy to look at. It was done on photoshop, and the quality of the picture is good as it hasnt benn pixilated. furthermore the writing is bold and easy to read, the important wordings stick out more than the rest and it is easy to understand. the picture is not to crowded and there is a decent amount of gaps between the writings.

this is one of the questionairres i chose to put on my blogg, as it is similar to a majority that i recieved back. it shows that people are interested in the bollywood genre of music. People also do purchase magazines on a regular basis to find out latest gossip and music, furthermore people do enjoy going to music festivals as it intrests them. Most importantly people to enter the competitions this is why i chose to put a ompetition in my magazine.

This is a draft copy that i drew for my magazine front cover, i tried to use it as a rough guideline to my final product of my music magazine. It did help in showing me what to do and i would refer back to it if i got stuck on what to produce.

This is my colour palet, i used a regular colour scheme throughout to make my magazine look neat and also well structured rather than doing a rushed job. the colours blend into the clothing that my artist is using and it works well in the magazine.

these are some of the styles of writing i was going to use. Because my magazine iz based around the theme of bollywood i tried to use indian style writing but my words are in english. i used the third one as it looks bold and easy to read. It also looks attractive and people would notice that this is a bollywood magazine.

i decided to come up with a whole new idea, and tried to make a "bollywood band", however i wasnt to enthusiastic about this idea, as it is very uncommon and didnt feel right for my magazine, i still experimented by taking pictures to see the outcome and i just decided to stick with a single female artist for my magazine.

I was going to use a male for my magazine however i decided not to do this because, in the bollywood industry there are loads of male artists, and the magazines are mainy dominated by males so i decided not to go for this option. However as you can see i did experiment by taking pictures and i decided to go for a female artist.

this is another picture i was going to use for my magazine, it is very attractive and also eye catching, the background is nice, and the picture looks very professional.

I also looked at different genres of music to see how i can use their conventions in my magazine, in this moodboard i have studied r&b music i have noticed unlike bollywood music magazines they rarely use the same colour themes, most of these magazines are very colourful and have different colours everywhere. This is still very eye catching and appealing, however for my magazin i chose to use the same colour theme throughout as this is what bollywood magazines do.

this is also another picture i was going to use, it looks very proffesianal however the problem is that it looks a lot like an asian bridal magazine rather than music. it looks very fashion dominated rather than an artist who will be singing.

this is something i used to see how many people consume music magazines, and just magazines in general it was a great help as it showed me how i could do things to improve the purchase rate of music magazines.

this is an NME reader profile i used it to see how to create my own and also it helped to see how many people and in how many differnets ways they are interested in music, and also to what extents they will go to purchase music.

this is also one of the pictures i was going to use for my magazine, it is a clear image as the face is the main focuss. However i changed my mind for two reasons, the first one was that as i put text around the picture it was hard to read, and also this picture did not look nice when it was blured. the second reason is that the picture does not look to happy and the face looks a little grumpy, this would cause problems as people may not buy the magazine as it does not look appealing.

this was one of the pictures i was looking to put on my music magazine. however it does look a lot like a fashion image rather than music. therefore i changed my mind about it.

i have created this mood board of things i will add in my magazine, i have been inspired by other magazines that i have analysed! i want to talk about music but i also want to have other information in my magazine, for example:

- Artists - lives, new and upcoming, interviews, gossip

- Gigs, festivles.

i want to include many things that my audience from the UK will be interested in.

Similarities and Differences

i decided to see if there was any similarities or differences in the two magazines: Q magazine and NME......

Q magazine analysis

this magazine uses similar colours to that of NME, the main colours in this magazine are Red, Black, Grey and White. the name of the magazine is always the same! however Q magazine has less writing, it focuses more on the image of the magazine.
as you can see the image is very sexy, it attracts the male audience, it is very appealing to them. when looking at other Q magazines i noticed that they were quiet empty aswel, the image of the artist/band is very important to Q magazine.

NME magazine analysis

This is the front cover for NME a music magazine. This magaizne is very popular with the music industry and to some consumers of music. there are many music magazines around now that there is a lot of competition between the types, everyone has different tastes in the genre of the music that they like, its hard to attract the audience. it is important the magazines sell it self and this is buy talking about or informing the consumers/buyers about the artist/bands on the front page. as you can see in NME it is done by using bold and bright fonts for the names of the artists, this makes them stand out and catches the customers eye. the magazine should tell us a lot by just looking at the cover and NME does. it tells us what type of music it consists of. it also tells us who the interviews are of, also informs us if there are any festivals and who is going to be singing.

the picture that is used on the front cover is also very important. NME have used The Wombats, the image as you can see has been edited to use on the front cover. the way the picture is taken is good becuase it attracts the audience especially girls. when looking at the magazine, i analysed quiet a lot of NME magazines and it is very easy to tell that the magazine is that of NME because of the colours that are used, they are quiet similar. the name of the magazine is always in the same colour and the font. its always in RED this is important because red is a very powerful colour and it catches the audiences eye straight away!
